IL7 regulates T cell survival, differentiation and proliferation. The alpha chain of its receptor, CD127, is polymorphic, and its haplotypes are associated with recovery from transplantation and with the autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis (MS), especially primary progressive MS (PPMS).
