Abstract

A patient with torsion of the remaining left upper lobe following lingulectomy is described. Chest radiographs showed a mass-like homogeneous density in the left upper chest resembling atelectasis but associated with some shift of the mediastinum to the right. This appearance together with the clinical features should suggest the possibility of torsion.
