Dementia in acute units: wandering.

This is the third article in a series which looks at how nurses in acute units can manage the behaviour problems presented by people with dementia. It concentrates on wandering, and suggests reasons why people with dementia may wander, distinguishes different types of wandering patterns, and gives some pointers for effective management.
