She was honored to receive the full-time attending of the year award from the Department of Dermatology in 2011 for her role in teaching dermatology residents. She is fortunate to have the opportunity to continue teaching residents in the pathology department at the University of North Carolina.When she is not at work, Dr. Walters enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and two dogs, gardening, yoga, and volunteering as a school reading partner.
