Fibromuscular dysplasia is a rare condition that affects cell growth in arterial walls, making the arteries narrow, enlarge, or bulge. Fibromuscular dysplasia can affect many different arteries such as carotid, renal, coronary, and mesenteric arteries.
What are the symptoms of Fibromuscular Dysplasia (FMD)?
Fibromuscular dysplasia may not cause any symptoms. Symptoms of fibromuscular dysplasia depend on the affected arteries. Symptoms of fibromuscular dysplasia may include headache, ringing in the ears, dizziness, sudden neck pain, high blood pressure, transient ischemic attack, aneurysm, artery dissection, and abnormal kidney function.
