Hispanic/Latino and Non-Hispanic BlAck Patients Treated With niRaparib and Abiraterone Acetate Plus Prednisone for Metastatic hOrmone Sensitive Prostate Cancer With Deleterious Homologous recombinatioN Repair Alterations: a Phase II, Open Label studY
Summary: This is an open label, phase II trial in subjects with treatment naïve, metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) with deleterious homologous recombination repair (HRR) alteration(s). These include pathologic alterations in BRCA 1/2, BRIP1, CHEK2, FANCA, PALB2, RAD51B, and/or RAD54L. A total of 64 people will be enrolled to the study.
Patient Reported Experiences With Sparing ExteRnal Oblique Fascia Vs Standard Inguinal OrchiEctomy
Summary: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the difference in patient-reported postoperative outcomes between two standard-of-care surgical techniques for radical orchiectomy (inguinal orchiectomy versus external oblique fascia sparing orchiectomy) for treatment of patients with suspected testicular malignancy. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does sparing the external oblique fascia duri...
Studying Treatments in Patients Receiving Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) and Androgen Receptor Signalling Inhibitors (ARSI) for Metastatic Prostate Cancer: Evaluation of Drug and Radiation Efficacy: A 2nd Multi-arm Multi-stage Randomised Controlled Trial (STAMPEDE2).
Summary: STAMPEDE2 is a clinical trial comparing three new treatments with standard of care in people with prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and is responsive to hormone therapy. People from all backgrounds and ethnicities are encouraged to take part and multiple hospitals across the UK are involved. University College London is running the trial. Each comparison within the trial h...
A Feasibility Study of Orchiectomy in Patients With Prostate Cancer on Chronic LHRH Agonist or Antagonist Therapy
Summary: The purpose of this study is to learn how an educational intervention about orchiectomy as an alternative to medical castration for those who are already on medical castration will impact the number of patients willing to undergo an orchiectomy (surgery to remove the testicles).
Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT) and Radium-223 (RAD) in Metastatic Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC) (BAT-RAD Study)
Summary: This is a single-arm, multicenter open label, international, phase II study of Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT) plus Radium-223 (RAD) in men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Men with mCRPC with progressive disease (radiographically and/or biochemically) who have been treated with gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH)-analogue (LHRH agonists/antagonists) continuously or b...
Testicular Tissue Cryopreservation for Fertility Preservation in Patients Facing Infertility-causing Diseases or Treatment Regimens.
Summary: The Testicular Tissue Cryopreservation study is open to a subset of patients facing disease or treatment regimens that could lead to infertility (gonadotoxic therapies). For some of these patients, experimental testicular tissue cryopreservation is the only fertility preservation option available. The overall objective of this study is to determine the feasibility and acceptability of testicular t...
Prospective Therapeutic De-escalation and miRNA-M371 Biomarker Evaluation Phase II Study for Stage IIa/IIb < 3 cm Seminomas
Summary: Phase II, multicenter, prospective, randomized, non-comparative, de-escalation study. Patients with stage IIa/IIb \< 3 cm seminoma histologically proved after orchiectomy will be included in the study and will receive 1 cycle of Etoposide Cisplatine (EP) chemotherapy. Patients with negative week-3 PET-scan after the EP cycle, will be randomized (1:1 ratio, stratification according to the disease s...
A Phase II, Multi-center, Single-arm, Prospective Study of Darolutamide + ADT Prior to Radical Prostatectomy (RP) in High-risk/Very High-risk Localized Prostate Cancer
Summary: Scientific Rationale: High risk localized prostate cancer (PCa) is associated with higher rates of biochemical recurrence, clinical recurrence, metastasis and PCa-specific death. Novel hormone therapies(NHT) have shown a significant survival advantage with respect to classical ADT in later stages of PCa and have already been investigated in neoadjuvant setting. PURPOSE: To assess antitumor effect ...
RAISN - Robot-assisted ICG-guided Sentinel Node Biopsy in Testicular Cancer
Summary: Robot-assisted image-guided sentinel lymph node biopsy (RAISN) in testicular cancer is a novel technique that has not been widely investigated yet. This technique is promising and could be implemented as a future standard in the primary diagnostic work up of clinical stage (CS) I testicular cancer. Current staging strategies have a poor predictive accuracy for occult metastatic disease. So far, fe...
